LET’S DO THIS!

One Simple Trick To Eating Healthy NOW

Food rules.

Dieting.

Drink this tea to drop 20 pounds in 7 days.

Don’t eat bananas.

Stay as far away from white rice as possible.

Eat a grapefruit with every meal.

Soak your nuts.

Don’t soak your nuts.

High carb diet.

Low carb diet.

Eat grains.

No wait. Don’t eat grains.

Instead, eat this high-protein bar that’s loaded with artificial ingredients.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

If you type “How do I eat healthy” into Google, you’ll come up with tons of tips, habits, recipes, and guidelines from “the experts.”

But how do I get healthy right now?

Not once in all of my “healthy eating” related research on Google did I find anyone talking about this one simple, free, and seriously life-changing tip.

Wanna know that one simple tip to eating healthy, even if you’ve just started on your journey?

DON’T STRESS!

Sounds impossible, right?

Like, with all the information out there, how can you really, truly not stress out?

I’m giving you full permission to screw up, be messy, eat well, don’t and then? Enjoy all of it!

Why? Because there’s already so much judgment, know-it-all status, unfriending, belittling, and just food superiority out there, it might be time to try something different.

Have you seen some “experts” that constantly contradict one another?

What you read one day, seems to be the complete opposite the next?

Eat a raw diet.

No. Wait. Lightly cook the veggies.

Okay. Protein is back.

Okay. Everyone. To save the planet, eat less meat.

Drink black coffee.

Please stop drinking black coffee. Drink 3 cups of green tea a day instead.

HOW ABOUT TRYING SOMETHING DIFFERENT?

Here’s a wildly outrageous perspective on all the things we “should” be doing when eating healthy but with less judgment and lots more love ::

  • Be kind to yourself.
  • Give yourself permission to screw up because all you can think about is sleep due to a teething baby.
  • Love yourself.
  • Don’t beat yourself up because you haven’t gone grocery shopping in who knows how long. Kids, burritos again! We do that enough already as mothers. Don’t ya think?
  • Surround yourself with like-minded rockstars that won’t unfriend you because you drove through the line at In-n-Out.
  • Don’t get caught up in the latest and greatest eating trends that promise to make you thin, strong, and beautiful. You know why? Because you already ARE — just the way you are.

OR

  • Know that today is a new day and you can start fresh any damn day of your life. It’s your choice!
  • Embrace your sh*t wherever you are and do what works for YOU!
  • Listen to YOUR body because the last time I checked, we all did look really freakin’ different.
  • Don’t judge anyone else for the choices they make. Because the world needs more kindness and less judgment.
  • Do your best and forget the rest!

It’s time to feel confident in all of your healthy eating choices, even if that might look different to others.

Rockin’ Mom’s Kitchen is for YOU.

If you want a supportive place to find new recipes that take little time, so you can enjoy you family and kick stress and mom-guilt to the curb, welcome!

It’s for YOU if you want to pack in a sh*t ton of veggies into every meal so you don’t have to stress about going to a birthday party at my least fave place, Chuck E Cheese, and actually eating that slice of pizza!

It’s for YOU if you want to cut time during the week by using a can of diced tomatoes even though you read somewhere that it is lined with BPA, to make your life easier and less stressful. And the next time you’re at the store, you’ll look for those in glass or ones without BPA. ;)

It’s for YOU, to realize that you’re doing your best with what you’ve got.

Because you know that stressing out 24-7 causes more harm than good.

If you want to be healthy, start at home. Start with yourself. Then, be kind and give that gift to your family.

Teach your kids to cook, enjoy all their messes, be kind to yourself (and your family) and laugh often. Life is too short for stressing out because of the latest shocking diet discoveries.

High carb, plant-based, omnivore, pescatarian, it’s all good.

Make healthy your lifestyle. Whatever that lifestyle means to you.

Much love today and always, even with your messy chocolate cookie ‘stache.

To fun, good food and dance parties in the kitchen!
